On Tuesday, January 10, 2023, we held The 2022 Hitachi Global Foundation Asia Innovation Award ceremony in Tokyo.
The Hitachi Global Foundation Asia Innovation Award is an award program launched in 2020 to promote science, technology and innovation that contributes to solving social issues and realizing a sustainable society in the ASEAN region.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we have not been able to hold the award ceremony since we launched this program, but this time we have invited the Best Innovation Award winners of fiscal year 2020, 2021, and 2022 to Japan for the award ceremony.
On the day of the award ceremony, each awardee delivered a presentation of research summary, and a Q&A session was followed by lively discussion among the selection committee members and the other award winners. After the award ceremony, a reception was held to deepen engagement between participants.
